Jamie Kristen spent most of her young adult life writing and editing stage plays and screenplays. She received much acclaim for her poetry and songwriting (lyrics), as well. She has four novels in development. In addition to creative writing, Jamie has provided copyediting services to several organizations and has developed marketing materials, including press releases for several companies.
She is a freelance writer who wrote and directed her first play at the age of eleven and was lauded at a very young age for her captivating mastery of the English language. Her short stories, essays, and poetry won several competitions.
For a period of several years, Jamie wrote articles for the online publication Examiner.com, under the pen name ‘Jacey Liles’. During that time she wrote editorials on several topics related to being a young woman, especially in Southern California. She reviewed venues, bringing the best Anaheim offered ladies for uniquely exciting and safe entertainment.
Jamie has an insatiable love for the written word much like her major influences, Nora Ephron, Mary Kay Andrews, Valerie Frankel and Kristin Harmel. Although she lives to write, she still enjoys reading pure, unadulterated fiction.
