Her short stories, essays, and poetry have won several competitions. She offers levity and compelling editorials through her personal blog.
Jamie Kristen spent most of her young adult life writing and editing stage plays and screenplays. She continues to receive much acclaim for her poetry and songwriting (lyrics), as well. Her first novel Only in Texas: A Chicks Travel Adventure was first published January 2026 and she has four novels in development.
In addition to creative writing, Jamie has provided copyediting services to several organizations and has developed marketing materials, including press releases for several companies.
For a period of several years, she wrote articles for the online publication Examiner.com, under the pen name ‘Jacey Liles’. During that time she wrote editorials on several topics related to being a young woman, especially in Southern California. She reviewed venues, bringing the best Anaheim offered ladies for uniquely exciting and safe entertainment.
Jamie has an insatiable love for the written word much like her major influences, Nora Ephron, Mary Kay Andrews, Valerie Frankel and Kristin Harmel. Although she lives to write, she still enjoys reading pure, unadulterated fiction in whatever time she has to spare.
